Judas is a character unlocked after beating Satan for the first time. Judas starts with one red heart container, and has The Book of Belial upon starting, as well as 3 coins. Judas also has a 1.35× damage multiplier.

• Judas' Tongue - Defeat Satan as Judas.
• Guillotine - Defeat Isaac as Judas.
• Curved Horn - Defeat The Lamb as Judas.
• The Left Hand - Defeat Ultra Pride as any character, or ??? as Judas.
• My Shadow - Defeat Ultra Greed as Judas.
• Eye of Belial - Defeat Ultra Greedier as Judas.
• Betrayal - Defeat Hush as Judas.
• Brown Baby - Defeat Mega Satan as Judas.
• Shade - Defeat Delirium as Judas.
• Akeldama - Defeat Mother as Judas.
• Redemption - Defeat The Beast as Judas.
• The Deceiver - Use Red Key (etc.) to open the hidden closet in Home as Judas.
• Belial Baby - Earn all Hard mode Completion Marks as Judas.

• Judas appeared in the original Binding of Isaac.
• Judas is a reference to Judas Iscariot, the Twelfth Disciple of Jesus Christ. Judas betrayed Jesus to the Romans in exchange for thirty pieces of silver, represented by the three coins Judas starts the game with. Moreover, the coins are also believed to represent the three Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
• Contrary to popular belief, Judas's fez is not a reference to the game Fez, created by Phil Fish. Edmund McMillen has stated that the initial statement was a joke and that he used the fez due to it being easily recognizable.
• In the original Binding of Isaac, Judas was unlocked by beating Womb for the first time. In Rebirth, it's Eden who is unlocked with this method, with the respective cutscene being changed accordingly.
• When reviving using Judas' Shadow, entering a miniboss fight will refer to the player as "Black Judas".
• Judas's locked character icon is a locked box with his fez sitting on it.
• He shares this locked box icon with Azazel, Lilith, and Apollyon.
• Judas is the only "Human" character to use this icon, with Azazel and Lilith being demons, and Apollyon being a living statue.[1]
