Bag of Crafting#710

Bag of Crafting is an unlockable activated item added in The Binding of Isaac: Repentance.

• There are ( 29 8 ) = ( 29 + 8 − 1 8 ) = 30 , 260 , 340 {\displaystyle {\binom {29}{8}}={\binom {29+8-1}{8}}=30,260,340} , or about 30.3 million, combinations of pickups and consumables that can be used in the Bag of Crafting. The item chosen is based on a formula mapping the chosen consumables, item weights, and quality values into a single outcome. On average, about 1/4th of all items will represent over 1/2 of all recipes.
• The average consumable value is ~4.31.
• Bag of Crafting's item description hints to The D6's item description as well as Tainted Cain's description, implying that "Destiny" is the items that will appear in a given seed.
• Bag of Crafting used to have the "nochallenge" and "nodaily" tag instead of the "offensive" tag. The resulting changes now allow it to be encountered on Challenges, Daily Challenges, and by Tainted Lost.

Bug! While being controlled by mouse, having both The Ludovico Technique + Pop! will mess up the direction control of Bag of Crafting. Bug! In the Cantripped! challenge, using a Bag of Crafting will crash the game. Bug! If the Bag of Crafting is used but not swung (i.e., is being held overhead) while returning from the Mirrored world, Isaac will not go back to normal, and will still have the properties of The Lost (flying, Holy Mantle effect) when returning. This effect persists across floors, but Isaac will turn back after some time.
