Pride

Pride is a mini-boss based on one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

• Pride's grayscale color, simple design, and the wavy scribble-like appearance of his lasers make him resemble Isaac's drawings as seen in the game's menus and cutscenes, possibly meaning he represents the pride Isaac takes in his creations.
• Pride's expressions during its attacks are a reference to "rage comic" memes, he briefly resembles troll face before spawning Troll Bombs and assumes a forever alone before firing lasers.
• The Seven Deadly Sins that these mini-bosses are based upon are, in Christian teachings, a classification of vices from which all others are derived.
• Pride is the personification of one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Pride is the excessive belief in one’s own importance, and can be thought of as narcissism, entitlement, or egotism. Pride can lead to other sins such as excessive desires for fame/attention, selfish desires for power, disobedience, discord, hypocrisy, and vanity. Pride is also believed by many to be the root of all sins.
