Eden is a character in The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, unlocked by completing Womb for the first time. Eden is unique in that they are only playable when the player has at least one Eden Token. Eden Tokens are awarded every time Mom's Heart, It Lives, Ultra Greed or The Beast is defeated. Each time a game is started as Eden, one token is consumed and a new Eden is randomly generated based on the seed, with one of the multiple hairstyles, random base stats, a random trinket, and a randomly chosen starting active item and passive item. Eden's stats are centered around Isaac's, meaning that they are on average identical to Isaac's but may vary significantly from run to run. The stats on this page are all ranges with Isaac's stats at the center, plus or minus a certain amount up to the values listed. • Book of Secrets - Defeat Satan as Eden.
• Blank Card - Defeat Isaac as Eden.
• Mystery Sack - Defeat The Lamb as Eden.
• Mysterious Paper - Defeat ??? as Eden.
• GB Bug - Defeat Ultra Greed as Eden.
• Metronome - Defeat Ultra Greedier as Eden.
• Eden's Blessing - Defeat Hush as Eden.
• Yellow Baby - Defeat Mega Satan as Eden.
• Eden's Soul - Defeat Delirium as Eden.
• 'M - Defeat Mother as Eden.
• Everything Jar - Defeat The Beast as Eden.
• The Capricious - Use Red Key (etc.) to open the hidden closet in Home as Eden.
• Cracked Baby - Earn all Hard mode Completion Marks as Eden.

• In the book of Genesis, the Garden of Eden was the place where Adam and Eve lived before consuming the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and thus being cast out by God.
• According to Edmund, Eden is neither male nor female. A quote from Edmund says “Eden is the fabled “mystery man” I’ve talked about in interviews before I had a fully realized idea of what they would become… see Eden isn’t a man, nor are they a woman.. they just are.“
• Eden could represent Isaac's rebirth as a new person, which explains why their stats and items are always random.
• Because of how Eden's stats work, Eden can start with decimal luck.
• When actually used in most formulas, luck is rounded towards zero. This means Eden's effective starting luck is generally equivalent to 0.
• Playing as Eden is the only way to have non-integer luck.
• Eden's starting stats are listed as "?" on the character selection screen.
• During development, Edmund asked fans to contribute hairstyles for Eden. [1]
• Some of Eden's hairstyles added in the Booster Packs resemble the hairstyles of other playable characters being Azazel, Eve, Lazarus, Lilith, Magdalene, and Samson.
• All of these hairstyles, except Azazel's, were changed in the 1.7.9b update to Repentance to reflect the updated hairstyles of each associated character.
• One of Eden's hairstyles references the pre-release appearance of Keeper.
• Some of Eden's other hairstyles are pop-culture references to characters such as Elsa from Frozen, Princess Leia from Star Wars, Marzipan from Homestar Runner, Lucas from Mother 3, and Frisk from Undertale.
