Boom Flies fly across the room diagonally in straight diagonal lines, dealing contact damage. Explodes upon death. • While Skatole is held, the Boom Fly and all of its variants will fly significantly slower and will not deal contact damage, but their other means of attacking/dealing damage will still damage Isaac as normal.
• While Isaac has the Beelzebub transformation, all Boom Fly variants will become friendly, and will not damage Isaac by any means (including explosions).

• The Boom Fly is tied with the Sucker for being the monster with the most true variants ('true variants' being monsters with ID x.1, x.2, etc), both with 7.
• Both Dragonfly types and the Sick Boom Fly first appeared in the Antibirth mod. In Antibirth, instead of having any stage hp they had 20 base hp.
• Sick Boomflies would only create poison gas on death and would not shoot out six tears when dying. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
