Krampus

Krampus is a mini-boss that can occasionally appear inside of a Devil Room.

• His name and appearance are based on Krampus, an alpine folkloric figure. It supposedly acts as a antithesis to Saint Nicholas, punishing children who misbehave near Christmas time.
• This is most likely why A Lump of Coal is in his item pool.
• Krampus is both visually and behaviorally similar to The Fallen, but does not split upon death.
• Krampus can spawn in Greed Mode without needing to be unlocked.
• Defeating Krampus when encountered here still unlocks Head of Krampus even if Krampus himself has not yet been unlocked.
• In an AMA subreddit thread for Edmund McMillen, a user questioned why Krampus got "worse with every update." Edmund McMillen jokingly responded, "he's the new bloat."; referencing the general hatred some fans have towards The Bloat.
• Despite Krampus receiving a redesign in Repentance, Delirium's Krampus appearance has yet to be updated.
• Red Mini-Boss Rooms created by Red Key (etc.) can contain a battle against Krampus.
• Krampus is tied with The Fallen as having the highest Stage HP among all entities in the game. Mini-Bosses Seven Deadly Sins Lust
